History of the home Built against the rampart of the Jean de Bourbon Palace, abbot of Cluny from 1456 -1485, this « hôtel particulier » was rebuilt in a classical style, at the beginning of the 17th century on the site of 2 romanesque houses dating back to the 12th century. Richly scultped facades and medieval clerestory windows were discarded in favour of larger windows thus providing more light and a simple facade punctuated by 15 openings on 3 floors. Abandoned in the eighties, my husband and I bought this home in a state of ruin in December 2006. It took three years of meticulous renovations, bearing in mind the soul of the house, to bring it back to life. It is now in these new surroundings that I welcome you and hope to share with you the special aura of the place.
